10:21 a.m. Thursday — A car driven by Linda Turner, 65, of Butler allegedly ran a red light along Route 8 and collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Evans Road.Turner was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with injuries.The driver of the other vehicle, Amanda Catalfano, 33, of Butler, was not injured.Turner was cited for a stop light violation.6:21 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Amber Double, 28, of Butler struck the back of a vehicle driven by Daryll Datz, 64, of Butler along Route 8 near the GetGo gas station.Double said an object was lodged under her brake pedal while driving, preventing her from stopping for traffic.Both drivers had minor injuries.Double's car was towed.
4:25 a.m. Friday — A 14-year-old Summit Academy boy was arrested after he allegedly broke into the home of Carrie Burdine, 38, on Herman Road in Summit Township.Burdine reported to police that a person was in her home. When officers arrived, they saw the teen fleeing.In the process of fleeing. the boy dropped a white laundry bag with his name on it.Police later found him at the academy.The teen was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft from a motor vehicle, criminal mischief and receiving stolen property.11:30 p.m. Thursday — Joseph Martin, 29, of East Butler was charged with simple assault and harassment after he allegedly threw a 30-year-old woman to the ground.The woman was injured and received treatment at Butler Memorial Hospital.7:30 p.m. March 13 — Todd Bennett, 22, of Portersville is facing criminal mischief charges after he allegedly caused $500 worth of damage to a vehicle belonging to Zachary Jarrett, 46, of Portersville.
