Dr. Claudia Gonzales will present “Diabetes and Eye Disease.” Attendees will be able to ask questions.

An American Red Cross baby sitters training class will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 12 at the Butler Township park building.The class is for ages 11 to 15 and emphasizes prevention, safety, responsibility, leadership and professionalism.Registration is required. MARS — The second annual Mars Public Library “Book It” 5K and 1 Mile Fun Walk will be at 9 a.m. April 12 at the Treesdale Community Center, One Treesdale Commons, Gibsonia.Registration forms are available at marsarealibrary.org and the library, 107 Grand Ave. Registrations also will be accepted at 8 a.m. on the race day at the Treesdale Cider House, across the parking lot from the Community Center.The entry fee is payable to the library.
