Chimney blaze extinguished
BUTLER TWP — Firefighters Tuesday night extinguished a chimney blaze at the house at 401 McCalmont Road.
Township Fire Marshal Larry Christy said crews used dry chemicals to douse the flames.
Christy said the likely cause was creosote buildup in the chimney.
All township volunteer fire departments responded to the 7:13 p.m. 911 call. Crews cleared the scene at 7:56 p.m.
