3:13 p.m. Friday — Willis A. Miller, 30, and James A. Petrigni, 48, both of Butler, were charged with disorderly conduct and threatening violent behavior after police responded to a verbal altercation between the two in the 200 block of West Cunningham Street.Police said Miller was pepper sprayed before their arrival.Miller was charged and placed in Butler County Prison on a warrant. Petrigni was cited and released.9:06 a.m. Friday — A Butler woman is facing charges after she allegedly tried to burn her city apartment down.Police reported Rebecca L. Allison, 49, set fire to the keyboard of her computer and to a cardboard box full of paper towels in her apartment in the 300 block of North Main Street.When police arrived, Allison told police the computer was controlling her life and she was going to burn the apartment down.Allison's 12-year-old daughter got a neighbor to put the cardboard box fire out. Her 15-year-old son called 911.Allison, who was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital, faces charges of arson, risking catastrophe, and reckless endangerment of another person.7:57 a.m. Friday — A car driven by a 16-year-old Butler girl hit the back of a car driven by Susan Ernst, 70, of Butler on Route 8 at the General Butler Bridge.The girl told police she started driving when the traffic light turned green but was unable to stop before hitting the car in front of her.She was not cited.
4:24 a.m. Friday — Tina Rivera, 45, of Butler was charged with possession of drug equipment after police were called to a home in the 200 block of Evans City Road for a suspected overdose.Rivera was found unconscious and was revived after being administered the drug Narcan.Police said they found a syringe near Rivera.
