6:15 p.m. Sunday — Shawn Eric Graham, 35, of Middlesex Township was arrested on a pair of out-of-county bench warrants but not before leading police on a foot chase across backyards and through several streets.Graham was eventually caught on North Cliff Street but he wasn't finished, according to a police report. He allegedly grappled with officers trying to get him in handcuffs.He is being held in Butler County Prison on charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, and the warrants out of Allegheny and Beaver counties.Officers initially found Graham and two others, a man and woman, at Ritts Park after police got a call from a homeowner reporting three suspicious people, two with back packs, in her yard.While officers were talking to the trio at the park, Graham took off running, the police report said. He crossed North McKean Street in front of oncoming traffic, forcing several drivers to slam on their brakes.The suspect continued onto Lumar Drive and North Cliff Street Extension. Police said they found him two blocks away under a pine tree in a back yard on North Cliff Street.Graham is accused of fighting two officers before he was taken to the police station.Court records showed the defendant was wanted on warrants for failing to appear at hearings in separate criminal cases in Allegheny and Beaver counties.In Allegheny, he is facing trial on charges in connection with an attempted burglary in Pine Township on Dec. 27, 2012. His pending case in Beaver is for drunken driving in 2010.A preliminary hearing for Graham on the latest charges is set for 1:15 p.m. Monday at the office of District Judge Pete Shaffer in Butler.

3:37 p.m. Tuesday — Amanda M. O'Neill, 30, of Butler was caught allegedly shoplifting clothing items and shoes at the Kohl's store at Butler Crossing shopping plaza. Police suspect O'Neil also stole merchandise from the store on March 12.The combined value of the property in both shoplifting cases is $1,010, according to a police report. O'Neil is charged with two counts of retail theft.12:06 a.m. Tuesday — Andrew M. Slywczuk, 30, of Butler was found with suspected heroin following a traffic stop on Renaissance Drive. Slywczuk gave officers a bogus name following the stop, according to a police report.He is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, false identification to law enforcement authorities, driving with a suspended license-DUI related and littering.8:17 p.m. Monday — Whitney Ann Tucker, 19, of Butler was charged with misdemeanor counts of retail theft and receiving stolen property after allegedly shoplifting $19.94 in merchandise from the Walmart at Butler Commons.

2:38 a.m. Sunday — An unidentified pickup truck struck a road sign and a parked car on South Fairview Main Street in Fairview Township. The crash pushed the car into another car. The unknown pickup driver did not stop, traveling through a front yard and taking off south on South Fairview Main Street.The truck is described as a light-colored GMC Sierra. Anyone with information about the hit-and-run is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.

12:40 a.m. Sunday — One person was hurt in a suspected drunken driving crash in Liberty Township, Mercer County.The crash happened when Adam M. Kimmell, 29, of Mercer lost control of his car and struck a tree along Route 258 at Valcourt Road. He was not wearing a seat belt and suffered a moderate head injury.Kimmell was treated at Grove City Medical Center. Police said he was later arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.5:45 p.m. Saturday — Two safes were found along Interstate 79, north of the exit 121 northbound ramp in Jackson Township, Mercer County. The owner or owners can claim the property by calling police at 724-662-6162.
