A used book sale will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the basement of the Butler Public Library.
Also, the library welcomes more donations of used paperback books. They can be delivered to the circulation desk at the library.
Dinner benefits Dunbar Center
Having a night out on Monday will benefit the Dunbar Community Center, 501 Fairground Hill Road.
“Dining for Dunbar” will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Chop Shop, 108 N. Main St. A portion of every ticket will be donated to the Dunbar After School Program.
The center offers programs for children, teens and adults.

SLIPPERY ROCK — March 28 is the deadline to register for Project Budburst. The event is from 8 a.m. to noon April 3 at the Jennings Environmental Education Center, 2951 Prospect Road.Families will learn about changing climates by observing and reporting seasonal changes in local plants. They will discover how and why scientists study “phenology” and the stories plants can tell.The program is for students age 5 or older.
