8:17 p.m. March 7 — Brooke Williams, 28, of Butler was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after police found used syringes and plastic bags commonly used to wrap heroin stamp bags in her bedroom.Police found the items after Williams reported two TVs were stolen from her apartment. Williams eventually told police not to investigate the stolen TVs.4:48 p.m. Feb. 23 — Simon J. Miller, 27, of Fenelton was charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia after police found several empty stamp bags in and around his car at Memorial Park.Police responded to reports of a male having difficulty breathing in his car. When police arrived, they found Miller standing beside his car.There were three empty stamp bags on the ground near his car. Police could also see several in his car.
3:23 a.m. Tuesday — Erin L. Schupay, 24, of Harmony was arrested for suspicion of DUI after she was found sleeping in a vehicle that was stopped in the right lane on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township.Just before nodding off, Schupay was reportedly driving at a slow speed down the middle of the highway.Tuesday — Police arrested Gary W. Plunkard, 43, of Hilliards for groping a 12-year-old girl in 2011 at his then home on Queens Junction Road in Clay Township.During their investigation, police interviewed Plunkard in September 2013. He acknowledged that he “may have accidentally brushed his forearm against (the girl's) breast,” according to court documents.Plunkard was arraigned on a felony charge of corruption of minors and misdemeanor charges of indecent assault and child endangerment. He is free on $30,000 unsecured bail.Monday — A burglar made off with about $1,200 in unspecified items from a home in the 300 block of Dick Road in Franklin Township. The break-in happened between noon Thursday and 9:30 a.m. Monday.Monday — Torrie K. Brown, 21, of Slippery Rock was arrested on a felony count of receiving stolen property after allegedly attempting to sell two stolen handguns March 4 to another man in Slippery Rock.The guns were reported stolen in a burglary Feb. 18 at a home on Orchard Park Lane.Brown was arraigned on the felony charge and placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail.
9:35 p.m. Tuesday — Christopher L. Myers, 17, of Ford City was hurt when he lost control of his car and struck a dirt embankment on Route 128 just north of Goat Hill Road in South Buffalo Township. The car rolled onto its roof.Myers, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights with minor injuries. He was cited for driving too fast for conditions.March 5 — Kristopher W. Kirkwood, 29, of Worthington was charged with two felonies after he allegedly brought drugs into the Armstrong County Jail on Feb. 25. Police said Kirkwood smuggled the contraband into the jail after returning from a work-release program.He is charged with smuggling drugs into the prison and possession of contraband by an inmate, both felonies. He also faces misdemeanor charges of possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
3:35 a.m. Wednesday — Stephen Drew Jr., 32, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at State Street and Taylor Road in Farrell. He also is accused of having a small amount of marijuana.3:35 p.m. Tuesday — Three Grove City women were hurt when the car they were riding in crashed into a tree along Cranberry Road just south of Gaspar Road in Pine Township, Mercer County.The injured passengers are Connie R. Eddinger, 70, Gloria C. Sowers, 48, and Carrie E. Sowers, 21. All three were wearing seat belts and suffered minor injuries. Cleveland E. Eddinger, 73, of Grove City, the driver, was not hurt.March 7 — A thief between 2 and 3:30 p.m. stole a package containing two shirts that was delivered to a 58-year-old woman and left on the porch of her home on Piela Way in Wolf Creek Township.
10:38 p.m. Saturday — One person was hurt in a one-vehicle wreck in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.The crash happened when Robert C. Hooks, 39, of New Castle lost control of his sport utility vehicle, traveled up an embankment and rolled over on Route 422 just east of Stoner Drive.Hooks' passenger, Kimberly Hooks, 39, of New Castle, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. She was treated at Jameson Hospital in New Castle.
