7:17 p.m. Sunday — An unidentified white pickup truck struck a mailbox and trash can on Constitution Avenue in Connoquenessing. The unknown driver did not stop and continued toward Route 68.The pickup is described as a four-door Ford or Dodge with an extended cab. The truck should have damage to the driver's side. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.3:20 a.m. Sunday — Ronald P. Stark, 36, of Cabot was arrested after allegedly assaulting 41-year-old Amy L. Shoup, 41, of Cabot during a domestic dispute at his home on Peters Lane in Winfield Township. Stark is charged with simple assault.1:44 a.m. Sunday — A pickup driven by Shawn D. Holmes, 19, crashed into an embankment after sliding off Route 422 in Muddy Creek Township. Police said Holmes was cited for driving too fast for conditions.12:11 a.m. Sunday — Andrew W. Spurk, 24, of Beaver Falls, Beaver County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 8 in Butler.10:50 p.m. Saturday — An unknown woman driving a pickup rear-ended a car on Route 58 in the area of Six Points in Allegheny Township. Police said that when Joseph Evankovich, 50, of Karns City, who was driving the car, approached the other driver, she sped off on Route 58 toward Eau Claire.The suspected hit-and-run vehicle is described as a late 1990s or early 2000s, dark blue or black Chevrolet Silverado or GMC Sierra.There was a woman passenger in the pickup, which likely has front-end damage. Anyone with information is asked to all police.2:31 a.m. Saturday — Greggory D. Spreng, 19, of Valencia was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 8 in Penn Township. Police also cited Spreng for speeding and careless driving.Spreng's passenger, Nicholas C. Blasco, 20, of Mars, was cited for underage drinking.Saturday — An unknown burglar stole a .380-caliber pistol from a home on Route 308 in Marion Township. The stolen gun is a SIG Sauer P238 Sports model. The break-in happened between March 1 and Saturday.4:10 p.m. Friday — Derek M. Zajacs, 22, of Saxonburg was hurt in a one-car wreck on Route 356 in Winfield Township. Police said the crash happened when Zajacs' northbound car crossed over the oncoming lane and traveled off the west side of the road, hitting a guardrail.The vehicle traveled on top of the guardrail for about 195 feet and headed north before stopping. Zajacs, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Police said he was cited for a lane violation.Friday — Jordan C. Borek, 26, of Butler was charged with drunken driving stemming from a traffic stop about 2:35 a.m. Feb. 16 on Hansen Avenue in Butler.In addition to DUI, Borek is charged with making an improper stop, failing to keep right, disregarding traffic lanes and not wearing a seat belt.Thursday — Unspecified property worth $250 was stolen from a business trailer in a burglary at Tack Operator Training on East Butler Road in Summit Township. The break-in happened between 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and 6:45 a.m. Thursday.11:59 a.m. Tuesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Kylie D. Kostie, 33, of Cabot struck the back of a pickup that was stopped behind a bus letting off children in the 200 block of Winfield Road just north of Edgewood Drive in Winfield Township.Police cited Kostie for driving at an unsafe speed. Randy R. Gibson, 47, of Valencia was driving the pickup.
3:10 p.m. March 3 — A 13-year-old boy was caught with suspected marijuana at the Lakeview Middle School in Sandy Lake Township. The boy, who police did not identify, faces drug possession charges in Mercer County juvenile court. The youth was released to his mother's custody.
