Jean Cizmek

Jean Ann Cizmek, 78, of Butler passed away at 11:50 p.m. Wednesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

She was born July 14, 1935, in Bridgeville to the late John Mizia and Amelia (Magercak) Mizia.

Mrs. Cizmek worked as an administrative assistant at St. Barnabas.

She enjoyed reading, flowers, plants, watching movies and visiting with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Cizmek is survived by one son, Michael J. Cizmek and his wife, Amy, of Erie; one daughter, Shellie A. McTighe and her husband, Jay, of Butler; six grandchildren, Michael, Mitchell, Mason and Matthew Cizmek, and Bridget and Conner McTighe; one brother, John Mizia and his wife, Nancy, of McMurray; and two sisters, Nancy Hallewell of Pittsburgh and Carolyn Carozza and her husband, Mike, of Coraopolis.

CIZMEK — A Catholic blessing service for Jean Ann Cizmek, who died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, with the Rev. Nicholas Argentieri of St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church officiating. Following the blessing service, visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.Burial will take place in the North Side Cemetery.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
