Postal carrier hit by car
Butler police continue to search for the driver of a car that hit a U.S. postal worker Saturday morning at the intersection of Walker and Spang avenues while he was delivering mail.
Police report that carrier Tony Lee Neiswonger did not require medical treatment despite being struck by the car.
According to the report, “He went up on the hood.”
Neiswonger told police he was struck by a bright blue sports hatchback driven by a white man in his mid-20s to 30s, wearing thick black-framed, square glasses.
There was a child seat in the back of the car.
Neiswonger told police the impact left a dent in the hood.
The incident was reported at 9:50 a.m.
He told police the car sped down Spang, turning onto Fairview Avenue.
