1:40 p.m. Sunday — David Wayne Haught Jr., 22, of Natrona Heights was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and possession of 31 grams of marijuana following a traffic stop on Route 8 in Center Township for an expired inspection sticker. The vehicle also had a fraudulent license plate and registration sticker.6:31 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by Hunter Davis, 54, of Prospect hit a tree along Prospect Road in Brady Township. Davis, who received minor injuries, was cited for not staying in the road's lanes.Saturday — Christopher Esloa reported the theft of an Apple iPad from his residence at Stonecrest Apartments in Slippery Rock between 8 and 10 p.m. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.8:36 a.m. Saturday — A car driven by Ashley Carothers, 20, of Hilliards hit a guardrail on an icy Oneida Valley Road in Concord Township. Passenger Sean Kelley, 21, of Karns City received moderate injuries. Passenger Bethany Smith, 20, of Karns City, received minor injuries. Both were treated at Butler Memorial Hospital.12:20 a.m. Saturday — Sarah Lutz reported an unknown person damaged her pickup's driver's side mirror as well as the vinyl siding on her Stillwater Lane apartment in Slippery Rock Township with a beer bottle. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.10 p.m. Friday — A vehicle drove through the Crown Point property on Park Crest Lane in Center Township, damaging a planter and a shrub before fleeing.9:41 p.m. Friday — An SUV driven by Thomas Smith, 40, of Butler and an SUV driven by Linda Morris, 57, of Slickville collided on an icy Chicora Road in Oakland Township.Friday — Tina Stone reported the theft of a white HTC One 6500 Droid cell phone from a vehicle parked at the South Butler School District on Knoch Road in Jefferson Township between 3 and 5 p.m.8:45 a.m. Friday — Tammy Ann Alexander, 50, of Hilliards was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after police responded to a call from the Forestville Beer Distributor on William Flinn Highway that a woman was slumped over the steering wheel in a vehicle parked in the lot.12:01 a.m. Friday — A vehicle hit a mailbox, a fence and shrubbery along Patterson Drive in Jefferson Township before fleeing. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.9 a.m. Wednesday — An SUV driven by Tracy Fencil, 35, of Butler hit an embankment on Glenwood Way in Center Township and overturned. Fencil, who was not injured, was cited for not driving at a safe speed.Tuesday — Richard Altenbaugh reported a window at his Arlington Drive residence in Slippery Rock was smashed at midnight. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.Feb. 14 — Samantha Lipscomb reported a burglary at her residence, 131 Five Oaks Lane, Washington Township, in which a 32-inch flat screen television was stolen between 2 p.m. Feb. 9 and 5:30 p.m. Feb. 14.9:20 p.m. Feb. 2 — Jack Augustine Breaux, 52, and Tiffany Ann Breaux, 31, were each charged with simple assault following their altercation at 122 Kozy Corner Road in Clinton Township.2:08 a.m. Feb. 1 — A pickup driven by Joshua Schmidt, 33, of Hilliards hit a utility pole along Washington Road in Washington Township before overturning. No injuries were reported.1 a.m. Jan. 26 — A vehicle hit the railing of the front porch at 306 W. Cooper St. in Slippery Rock before fleeing.9:44 a.m. Jan. 23 — A car driven by Mary Preisel, 29, of Shippenville hit the guardrail on an icy Oneida Valley Road in Oakland Township before spinning counterclockwise.1:48 a.m. Jan. 15 — Dorie-Ann Mae Forster, age and residence unavailable, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Route 68 in Butler Township.
6:47 p.m. Thursday — Dayshawn Vaughn Kirby, 25, of Bronx, N.Y., was arrested on an outstanding warrant from New York for a parole violation following a traffic stop on Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township. Kirby was placed in the Mercer County Jail to await extradition.Thursday — A car driven by Trisha Knight, 20, of Volant hit an embankment on Sandy Lake-Grove City Road in Sandy Lake Township before overturning about 6:45 a.m. Knight told police there was a mechanical failure in the steering system that caused her to lose control. No injuries were reported.11:30 p.m. Feb. 1 — A pickup driven by Cody Christy, 22, of West Sunbury hit the cinder block porch of a building off Mercer Butler Pike in Springfield Township. He was cited for not staying in the road's lanes.
Saturday — HJ Storage on Route 422 in Slippery Rock Township reported the theft of six Interstate commercial batteries, worth a total of $600, from vehicles parked inside the company's garage between 5 p.m. Thursday and 8:31 a.m. Saturday. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call police at 724-598-2211.Saturday — Neil Froce of Ellwood City reported someone put a white substance in the fuel system of his vehicle while it was parked at the intersection of Robin Street and Whieldon Avenue in Perry Township between 4 p.m. Feb. 13 and 2:30 p.m. Feb. 22., causing $300 worth of damage.
