Cody West scored 34 points and dished out five assists to lead Butler County Community College’s men’s basketball team to a 75-68 victory over CCAC Boyce in the first round of the WPCC playoffs Friday night.

Tyler Copeland added 14 points and 10 rebounds while Stae Stobert had 13 points and five assists. Mike Rummel scored 10 points.

The Pioneers (3-20) sank 13 of 26 3-point shots and 14 of 16 free throws.

CCAC 57, BC3 47 (women) — The Pioneers (3-19) ended their season with this WPCC playoff loss despite 17 points and three assists from Ashley Brehm. Jenn Barry had 12 points, Shelby Johnston 10.

Kyleigh Custer grabbed 12 rebounds in the loss.
