BUTLER TWP — Jen Barry scored 23 points, grabbed 15 rebounds and had eight assists in leading the Butler County Community College women's basketball team to a 64-59 win over CCAC South Tuesday night.
Ashley Brehm added 17 points for the Pioneers (3-16, 2-5) while Shelby Johnston had 16 points and 13 rebounds.
The BC3 men (2-21, 1-10) received 24 points and 16 rebounds from Tyler Copeland, but suffered an 81-70 loss to Penn Highlands. Cody West had 19 points and four assists, Mike Rummel 12 points.
West scored 33 points Monday night, but BC3 suffered a 71-63 loss at CCAC Boyce. Copeland added 11 points and 14 rebounds while Shae Stobert had six assists.
PITTSBURGH — Karns City graduate and current Slippery Rock High School baseball coach Nathan McCollough was inducted into the La Roche College Athletic Hall of Fame Saturday.McCollough was a second baseman-pitcher from 2005-07 with the Red Hawks and holds the school's career saves record with 17. He was fourth in the nation in saves his junior year.McCollough hit .331 with 47 hits and 24 RBI his senior year. Part of La Roche's fifth HOF class, he was one of eight inductees honored between games of Saturday's basketball doubleheader.

Right-hander Roy Oswalt is retiring after 13 major league seasons.Oswalt, 36, had a 163-102 career record with a 3.36 ERA. His best season came with Houston in 2004, when he went 20-10 with a 3.49 ERA.
