1:35 p.m. Friday — Ricki Lee Double, 29, of Lyndora faces charges of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia after she allegedly overdosed on heroin in a friend's apartment.Michael Gregg, 32, told police Double arrived at his Main Street apartment and told him she had just finished rehab. About 20 minutes later Gregg's young daughter found Double unconscious in the bathroom.Emergency responders revived Double and took her to Butler Memorial Hospital.While searching for identification, responders found two stamp bags of heroin in Double's front pocket. City police said the bags had no distinguishing marks and were sent to the state police Crime Lab for analysis.No used stamp bags were found, however, two syringes and a burnt spoon were found next to Double.5:37 a.m. Thursday — A hit-and-run accident occurred on South Monroe Street.An unknown vehicle believed to be traveling north on the street crossed the center lane and struck a car parked along the southbound lane. The vehicle then fled.
12:01 p.m. Wednesday — Tia Maskal, 25, of Lyndora was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after she allegedly overdosed on heroin at the Super 8 Motel on Pittsburgh Road.Police found two syringes and 10 empty stamp bags in the room Maskal was in.Maskal was treated at the scene and taken to Butler Memorial Hospital.4:44 p.m. Monday — A car driven by Spencer Vinroe, 18, of Butler crashed into a car driven by Harvey Loose, 69, of East Brady after Vinroe's car crossed into the left lane while going around a turn. Neither driver was injured in the accident.
5:34 p.m. Friday — A pickup truck driven by Benjamin T. Mainhart, 21, of Butler crashed into the back of a Jeep driven by George M. Vorel, 64, of Butler along Evans City Road at its intersection with Rose Haven Drive in Connoquenessing Township.Mainhart, who was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for minor injuries, was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.8:54 a.m. Friday — A car driven by Richard Rider, 82, of Butler struck the back of a tractor-trailer driven by David G. Beck, 44, of Ford City while Beck was stopped for a school bus along Saxonburg Road in Summit Township.11:30 p.m. Thursday — Nathan D. Seekford, 19, of Brady Township reported someone entered his Muddy Creek Drive apartment through an unlocked door and stole his PlayStation 4 video game console.
2:12 p.m. Thursday — Robert J. Norris, a 27-year-old registered sexual offender, was arrested after he allegedly failed to register his new address in Grove City.He was arraigned before District Judge D. Neil McEwen and placed in Mercer County Jail on $25,000 bail.
