Thursday — Gregory Lee Weitzel, 43, of Butler was charged with drunken driving stemming from a traffic stop Jan. 8 on New Castle Road. In addition to his third offense for driving under the influence, Weitzel is charged with careless driving.Thursday — Police obtained an arrest warrant for Bryant K. Wells Jr., 22, of Pittsburgh, who is charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle and harassment in a Dec. 28 incident.Additionally, police said, Wells is wanted on bench warrants in Butler and Allegheny counties. Anyone with information about Wells' whereabouts is asked to call police at 724-285-9600.7 p.m. Wednesday — Justin T. Victor, 24, of Butler allegedly removed the price tags on several items and replaced them with lower prices at the Walmart in Butler Commons. Victor, who has a prior conviction for shoplifting, is charged with misdemeanor retail theft.4:01 p.m. Tuesday — Jeanetta L. Emmert, 36, of Kittanning was arrested after she was caught allegedly shoplifting clothing at the Butler Commons' Walmart. She is charged with retail theft.Officers later learned Emmert was wanted by Butler police on an arrest warrant stemming from a theft-related case in January. She was arraigned on a charge of theft of services and placed in the Butler County Prison on $3,000 bail.12:31 p.m. Tuesday — Gary R. Rob, 31, of Lyndora faces criminal charges for having altered, forged or counterfeit documents and plates stemming from a traffic stop.Police also cited Rob for driving with a suspended license, driving without a license, fraudulent use of a license plate, allowing the illegal use of a plate, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving without insurance and without valid inspection, violating the use of an inspection sticker and not wearing a seat belt.
4:05 p.m. Thursday — Robert E. Parks Sr., no age given, of Butler is accused of violating a Clay Township woman's protection from abuse order at her home.3:05 p.m. Thursday — No one was injured when a car and school bus collided in Muddy Creek Township. Police blamed an obstruction caused by numerous pine trees for the crash on Stone Church Road.The car driven by Douglas A. Enslen, 48, of Prospect was southbound and the bus driven by Jeanne T. Gilson, 53, of Butler was northbound when they collided while traveling around a curve in the road at the same time. A 15-year-old boy was the only passenger in the bus. No charges were filed.7:02 a.m. Wednesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Laurren C. Johanson, 23, of Saxonburg spun out of control on snow and slush and hit a tree and embankment along Saxonburg Boulevard just south of Deer Creek Road in Clinton Township.The SUV spun around again and rolled onto its passenger side. Police cited Johanson for disregarding traffic lanes.Wednesday — Police filed two citations against Elliott's Used Car Sales on Route 8 in Center Township for failing to submit title work, registration documents and money collected from two different notary transactions Jan. 15.Jan. 28 — An unknown thief between 1 and 5 a.m. stole a TomTom global positioning system device and coins from a vehicle at a Marigold Lane home in Slippery Rock. Police believe the suspect also entered three other vehicles nearby.7:30 p.m. Jan. 24 — Twila J. Timblin, 61, of Worthington, Armstrong County, lost control of her car on snow and slush and crashed into a tree along Clearfield Road just north of Hickey Bottom Road in Clearfield Township.Police cited Timblin for driving too fast for conditions and failing to immediately notify police of an accident.Dec. 15 — A Fugi camera was stolen from an unlocked vehicle at a home on Beacon Lane in Center Township. The theft happened between Dec. 8 and 15.
