Raider wrestlers facing No. 1 seed
The Seneca Valley wrestling team set themselves up for quite a challenge in the WPIAL playoffs.
The Raiders blasted Hopewell 46-18 Monday night at Chartiers Valley to earn the No. 16 seed in the WPIAL Class AAA wrestling team playoffs.
Seneca Valley will wrestle Franklin Regional, which is ranked No. 1 in the state in Wednesday at 6 p.m. in Murrysville.
Five Raiders — Alex Lynch (106 pounds), Alex Fisher (120), Anthony Latess (132), John Proper (182) and Tyler Miller (285) — won by pinfall.
