KC's Kepple goes over 1,000 points

Tyler Kepple didn’t want to drag it out.

Needing 11 points to become the 11th boys basketball player in Karns City history to reach 1,000 career points, Kepple scored 10 in the first quarter and buried a 3-pointer early in the second quarter to reach the milestone as the Gremlins routed A-C Valley 64-27 Friday night.

Kepple, who scored a game-high 24 points, now had 1,013 in his career.

Jeff Eaton led A-C Valley with 14 points.

Knoch had a big lead in the first half, but watched as it was trimmed to one by the break.

Austin Miller added 11 points for the Knights (13-3, 7-2).
