4:231 p.m. Wednesday — Isaac G. Anderson Jr., 54, of Butler was arrested on a warrant following a traffic stop in the 100 block of North Chestnut Street. He was placed in Butler County Prison.10:29 a.m. Wednesday — Diamond S. McCracken, 32, of Butler and Melissa Ann Webb, 35, of Brady Township were caught allegedly shoplifting $473 in clothing items from the Kmart store in Pullman Square. Both women are charged with retail theft and conspiracy.
8:26 p.m. Tuesday — Jolena E. Harbison, 35, of Emlenton, Venango County, was arrested after she was caught allegedly shoplifting a $7 bottle of laundry detergent scent crystals from the Walmart in Butler Commons.Harbison, who has two prior convictions for shoplifting, was arraigned on a charge of felony retail theft. She was released on her own recognizance, following arraignment.8:13 a.m. Tuesday — One person was hurt when a van driven by Isha Nguyen, 25, of Butler collided with a car driven by James Burk, 61, of Portersville on New Castle Road at the Butler Crossing shopping plaza.Franchesca Rapp, 25, a passenger in the car, suffered a minor injury. Police cited Nguyen for making an improper right turn.6:02 p.m. Friday — Brian D. Wickwire, 46, of Butler was arrested at a convenience store parking lot on Route 68 after he created a disturbance on a public bus.Police were called after the bus driver pulled into the parking lot and reported that a man aboard was “yelling and screaming and trying to fight the other passengers on the bus,” according to court documents.When police got there, the suspect, later identified as Wickwire, began shouting “nonsense” at the officers and told them he wanted to be Tasered, documents said.But when officers tried to handcuffed him, Wickwire put up a brief struggle and had to be taken to the ground.In the police car he allegedly kicked backward at Sgt. Robert Murphy, but missed the officer.Wickwire is charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.8:10 p.m. Dec. 29 — A car driven by Cory L. Elliott, 35, of Butler sideswiped another vehicle on Route 422. Elliott drove away.Officers a short time later found Elliott and the vehicle on Spring Street in Butler. He is charged with hit-and-run, careless driving and reckless driving.
Monday — A black trifold wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in a driveway at a home in the 600 block of West Washington Boulevard. The theft happened between 8 p.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. Monday.
