Homrock

MARS — Greg Homrock has joined Mars National Bank as the retail banking manager of the Mars office.

He will be responsible for the branch operations, as well as serving individuals and small businesses. He has more than 20 years of banking experience.

Homrock is a graduate of California (Pa.) University, and serves on several charitable and church boards. He lives in Cecil Township, Washington County.

JEFFERSON TWP — Concordia Lutheran Ministries has been awarded a five-year accreditation as a Continuing Care Retirement Community and an Aging Services Network.This accreditation is from CARF International, an independent, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services.This is the second consecutive accreditation that has been awarded to Concordia as an aging services network and the third consecutive accreditation as a continuing care retirement facility.

PENN TWP — The Hunter Family of Companies recently promoted Carrie Ginocchi to vice president of human resources.Ginocchi has been the human resources manager for three years.In her new role, she will continue to oversee all aspects of human resources for the company.Ginocchi has a bachelor's in business and human resources from Seton Hill University and is a certified senior professional in human resources. She is a member of the Tri-County Workforce Investment Board and the Tri-County Youth Council.Hunter, headquartered at 480 Pittsburgh Road, is a heavy duty truck dealership. It also services and leases trucks. It employs more than 750 people in 20 locations in four states.

DALLAS — Alcoa reported a $2.34 billion fourth-quarter loss Thursday as low aluminum prices caused it to write down the value of acquisitions made more than a decade ago.Without the charges, the company posted an adjusted profit that still fell short of Wall Street expectations. Its 5 percent revenue decline was less severe than analysts had forecast.Alcoa is struggling with a worldwide glut of aluminum that is creating weak prices.
