KENT STATE — Karns City student Taylor Ritzert was recently selected to compete in the Queen of Diamonds Showcase North this weekend at Kent State University.

The QDSN is in its 19th season as one of the largest fastpitch softball showcases in the country. It attracts athletes from more than 30 states.

The event attracts more than 2,000 applicants, of which 264 are selected. Ritzert also plays travel softball for the Pittsburgh Power.
