5:03 p.m. Saturday — A pickup driven by Thomas Green, 51, of Butler struck the rear of a car driven by Katrin Haug, 33, of Chicora twice at the corner of East Jefferson and South McKean streets before hitting the corner of Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church. There was no apparent damage to the building.

Saturday — Justin William Tirk, 21, of Butler was charged with simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and possession of a small amount of marijuana after allegedly throwing a trash can at a 43-year-old Butler woman, bruising her right leg, at 618 Sherman Road in East Butler. The woman was not identified.Friday — Carolyn Virginia Kobulnicky, 38, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Route 8 in Butler Township.3:15 p.m. Tuesday — A white male in his early 40s driving a black SUV stole $50 worth of gas from the BP gas station on North Main Street in Slippery Rock.

10:02 p.m. Friday — An SUV driven by John Simpson, 57, of St. Petersburg in Clarion County crossed the center line on Master Road Highway and hit a road sign and a utility pole. Simpson, who was not injured, was cited for careless driving.

3:27 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Benjamin Stiffler, 31, of Ellwood City hit a tree along Shaffer Road in Slippery Rock Township. He was cited for not driving at a safe speed.
