1:25 a.m. Wednesday — Brad Eastep, 30, and Kelly Ralston, 29, both of Butler, were charged with simple assault and harassment after the couple got into a fight at a home along Old Plank Road. Both Eastep and Ralston sustained minor injuries.7 p.m. Tuesday — A township police K9 officer had two magnetic signs stolen from his vehicle while parked along the 400 block of Main Street in Lyndora.The “Animal Control” signs are black and white with the state seal.Anyone with information is asked to call township police at 724-285-9600.2:31 p.m. Tuesday — Brian K. Murdock, 42, of Mount Pleasant was charged with felony retail theft after he allegedly stole a toothbrush from Walmart.Murdock has multiple past retail theft offenses.He was placed in Butler County Prison on $3,000 bail.The toothbrush was valued at $3.47.6:18 a.m. Tuesday — Deb Smith, 42, of Worthington lost control of her Jeep on snow-covered Route 422 and struck a guide rail just east of Duffy Road. Her vehicle was towed from the scene.6:18 a.m. Tuesday — Gerald Graham, 52, of Butler crashed his car into the center medial and Duffy Road overpass abutment on Route 422.1:57 a.m. Dec. 20 — John Puglisi, 21, and Mark Springer, 34, both of Butler, were charged with simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness after they got into a fight outside the Days Inn hotel.Springer was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.11:13 Dec. 12 — Five people were arrested on drug charges at Old Plank Estates.Officers responded to the apartment on an eviction notice and summary warrant on Brooke Smith Fair, 20, of Butler. When they arrived, officers noticed marijuana and numerous people inside the residence.Upon their investigation, officers found various drugs and a firearm.Raheem Robinson, 22, of Butler was charged with possession of a firearm prohibited, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, distribution of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.Marc Lattimore, 22, of Georgia, Betty Smith, 43, of Butler, Taneke Wise, 21, of Butler, and Fair all were charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
