Weather stuffs grid title games
PHILADELPHIA — Ahead of an expected third dose of wintry weather in less than a week, two state high school football championship games are being moved from Saturday to Sunday because of snow predicted to move through Pennsylvania and into the Northeast.
The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association said the Class AA title game between Imhotep Charter and South Fayette will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday. The class AAAA game featuring St. Joseph’s Prep against Central Catholic will kick off at 6 p.m. Sunday.
With 5 to 8 inches of snow forecast for the mid-state on Saturday, the league said it was concerned for the safety of players and fans traveling to the games in Hershey.
