SRU students present fall concerts
SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock University Dance Theatre will present its annual fall concerts at 2 and 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday in Swope Music Hall.
Sunday’s two concerts are different from those presented on Saturday.
Each concert will feature 10 dance works that junior and senior dance majors have developed over the course of the semester.
The works have gone through an adjudication process developed by SRU Dance Theatre artistic director Ursula Payne.
Dance faculty members adjudicated 40 student dance works in November. Out of 40 dances, 20 have been selected for presentation based on the score they received.
The fall concerts contain dances ranging from solo works to large group works and feature a variety of dance styles from modern to classical Indian.
Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for senior citizens, children younger than 12, and SRU students. For information, call 724-738-2036.
