Christmas is a time for joy,

A time for family, gifts and toys.

A time to remember those who aren’t here

And bring close their memories to keep them so near.

A time to look back on the things that were had,

A smile for the good, not only the sad.

A prayer of good thanks for the love that we shared,

A tear shed in sorrow for life that’s not spared.

Time will heal our sorrow and fear

By knowing God’s side you will always be near.

We’ll look to the heavens and smile once more

When God beckons us to walk on that shore.

Our souls will be joyful when we see you again

And we’ll stay close together forever, no end.
