Nativity display, cookie sale setEVANS CITY — The fourth annual Cookies from the Heart/Art of the Nativity display will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 7 at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 501 E. Main St., Evans City.More than 50 Nativity scenes from around the world will be on display in St. John’s second floor sanctuary and narthex. There is no charge to view the Nativities.In the first floor social hall, dozens of homemade cookies will be for sale. Patrons can choose a mix of varieties. St. John’s cookbooks also will be for sale.

Library offers gift bags, street signsZELIENOPLE — Holiday gift bags are available at the Zelienople Public Library, 227 S. High St.For a donation, visitors can choose a ready-to-give gift bag of books and related items. Volunteers have packaged the gently-used books in gift bags and sorted the bags by interest. There will be gifts for history lovers, gardeners, mystery fans and more.
