The Butler County Treasurer’s office reminds Butler, Callery, Valencia and West Sunbury residents that the final day to pay 2013 county real estate taxes is Dec. 31.

Any tax payments received in person on Dec. 31 or postmarked Dec. 31 will be honored at the penalty tax amount.

Residents may pay county real estate tax payments in person at the treasurer’s office in the Government Center, 124 W. Diamond St., from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Cash, check, money order or cashiers check will be accepted until Dec. 13.

After Dec. 13, guaranteed funds only will be accepted in the form of cash, money order or cashier’s check. No personal checks will be accepted after Dec. 13.

Mailed certified funds must be postmarked by Dec. 31 and mailed to: Butler County Treasurer, P.O. Box 1208, Butler, PA 16003.

County real estate taxes received after Dec. 31 will be considered delinquent and returned to the sender.
