Monday — Martin P. Patterson Jr., 47, of Butler is accused of attacking Debra Chuhra with a large, plastic vodka bottle during an argument Saturday at her home in the 200 block of Zeigler Avenue. The suspected assault left the woman with a one-inch cut under her right eye, according to court documents.Patterson, who fled the home before police got there, is charged with simple assault.Monday — Police charged Tina Budner, 43, of Butler with shoplifting $330 in merchandise from the South Main Street Rite Aid store on Nov. 18. Budner managed to push a shopping cart full of items out of the store but was stopped by workers.7:40 p.m. Thursday — Amanda Jo Sortore, 30, of Butler was caught allegedly shoplifting clothing items from the Family Dollar store in Pullman Square. Sortore is charged with retail theft.

Monday — Police filed drug-related charges against two people stemming from a traffic stop about 3:45 p.m. Nov. 9 across from Highfield Hall.Ashley M. Frenchak, 25, of Butler is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, driving under the combination of drugs and alcohol, three counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count each of possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.Russell D. Stroup, 35, of Karns City, who was in Frenchak's car, is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count each of possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

4:40 a.m. Sunday — Rachel R. Kastelic, 26, of Butler faces felony assault and other charges after allegedly attacking another woman at a home on Suburban Lane in Slippery Rock Township.Kastelic is accused of repeated punching and biting 40-year-old Holly L. Wilson of West Sunbury. The suspect also allegedly came after Wilson with a pair of scissors. The alleged victim suffered unspecified injuries.Kastelic is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct.Sunday — A vandal wielding an unknown blunt object smashed two mailboxes in the 600 block of Saxonburg Boulevard just east of Victory Road in Clinton Township. The vandalism happened between 5 and 7:30 p.m. Police have no suspects.11:20 p.m. Friday — A 17-year-old Slippery Rock boy, who police did not identify, allegedly destroyed several mailboxes on Miller, Hines and West Park roads in Slippery Rock Township. The boy faces charges of criminal mischief.Nov. 20 — An unknown identity thief made several unauthorized withdrawals from a 58-year-old Summit Township woman's bank account. The theft happened between Oct. 7 and Nov. 20.Nov. 15 — Someone cut two trail cameras in the area of Aspen Road in Fairview Township. The vandalism occurred between Nov. 7 and 16.
