12:38 p.m. Sunday — James J. Tiani, 54, no known address, was arrested for trespassing after he showed up at the Washington Manor Personal Care Home on South Washington Street despite two recent arrests there for the same alleged crime.Officers were called to the care home and found Tiani in a vehicle parked across the street from the facility. Police noted they had previously warned Tiani that he was not allowed on the premises, following his arrests there on Sept. 17 and Oct. 16.When officers told Tiani to get out of the vehicle, he refused. An officer had to grab his arm to get him out.Tiani is charged with defiant trespass and disorderly conduct. He is in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail.Thursday — Police arrested Amber S. Young, 34, of Parker on charges she allegedly forged and cashed two checks that were taken from a vehicle at home in the 400 block of South Washington Street.Young admitted stealing the checks, according to court documents, forging the owner's signature and cashing them for a combined $550.She is charged with forgery and two counts of theft by deception. She is free on $3,000 bail.
Monday — Police reported that an unknown identity thief in July used a 41-year-old Connoquenessing Township woman's personal information to open a fraudulent account. The suspect later accrued a $989 bill on the account.Thursday — Bryan K. Redinger, 50, of Erie pleaded guilty before District Judge Kevin O'Donnell to a summary charge of disorderly conduct stemming from a suspected case of road rage last month in Butler Township.According to a police report, Redinger about 8:30 p.m. Oct. 6 stopped his vehicle in the middle of the Route 422 off-ramp at Route 8 to confront another motorist.Judge O'Donnell ordered Redinger to pay $359 in fines and court costs.
Sunday — Someone stole the power cord connection to a Sarver man's camper and a garage at Alcoa Park in Redbank Township. The theft happened between Oct. 27 and Sunday.
