Tickets for the Butler Little Theatre production of “Frog and Toad” will be available to members on Nov. 19 and 20 and the to general public on Nov. 21.
The show will go on Nov. 29 to Dec. 1 and Dec. 3 to 7, including two Saturday matinees that have been added.
Curtain is at 8:15 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, at 2:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
The play is based on the books of Arnold Lobel.
The cast will include Phillip Ball, Rik Medic, Dan McCarty, Greg Crawford, Erin Mossman Colkitt, Amy Cannard, Lisa Cribbs, Allison Torres, David Halin and Stephanie Kobil.
SLIPPERY ROCK TWP, Lawrence County — McConnells Mill State Park hosts a traditional Christmas open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Nov. 23.Visitors can enjoy a craft and a view of the mill in the winter season. HARRISVILLE — The Harrisville Community Band will present its annual fall concert at 7 p.m. Nov. 15 at the Harrisville Fire Hall on Route 58.The band, in its 48th year, is made up of area amateur musicians under the direction of Jim Jaskowak of Jackson Center. Jaskowak is a music educator for the Grove City Area School District. Vic Karcher will serve as master of ceremonies.Some of the songs the band will play include: “A Christmas Festival,” “Shoutin' Liza March,” “March from Carmen,” “Hallelujah Chorus,” “Garry Owens March,” “3 Ayres from Gloucester” and “Best of Sacred Music.”Admission is free. LYNDORA — Tanglewood will be the site of a New Year's Eve party featuring dancing to live music by The Jentz.Doors will open at 8 p.m. Dec. 31 with music starting at 9 p.m.The menu will include hot dogs, sauerkraut, pork and kielbasa and beverages. PITTSBURGH — The 32nd annual Old Allegheny Victorian Christmas House Tour will be Dec. 13 and 14. The guided tour will feature restored Victorian homes and the historic Calvary United Methodist Church's Tiffany stained glass windows.Tours will be scheduled at 12-minute intervals between 5 and 8 p.m. Friday evening and 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday.Reservations are required. JOHNSTOWN — Butler native and Broadway veteran Michael Marra has joined the cast of “Chess in Concert” at 2 p.m. Dec. 8 at Richland Performing Arts Center at Richland High School, One Academic Ave.The performance is a fundraiser for the scholarship fund in the name of Kiersten Roberston, a student who was killed in a car accident in 2011.Marra will be playing one of the principal roles, Molokov.He has appeared on Broadway and toured nationally in “Les Miserables” and was an original cast member of the national tour of “Jekyll & Hyde.” He has also appeared in “The Producers” for Pittsburgh CLO.Tickets are $10 to $24.
