5:38 a.m. Oct. 22 — A hit-and-run accident occurred on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township.An unknown driver drove his car into the back of a car driven by Matthew A. Wagner, 31, of McKeesport while the two cars were driving in the right lane.Following the collision, the unknown driver fled.

11:32 p.m. Thursday — Kenneth L. Parker, 44, of Butler was charged with simple assault after he allegedly pushed his mother-in-law to the ground.Parker's wife, Deborah Parker, 51, told police her husband returned to their Walker Avenue home and started slamming doors. When he was confronted by Cathryn Hillard, 73, who lives with the couple, he started pushing her, eventually to the ground.Parker was arrested and taken to Butler County Prison.

12 a.m. Thursday — Jessie J. Marsh, 19, of Mercer crashed his car while driving on Irishtown Road in Pine Township, Mercer County.Marsh lost control of his car while going around a curve. He drove off the right side of the road and into a ditch.He was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
