12:23 p.m. Sunday — A Butler woman was charged with resisting arrest after she allegedly became violent when police tried to release her from a prior arrest. Chelsea McKay Hainer, 22, became combative when told she shouldn't return to the scene of her first arrest. Hainer is accused of swinging her arms and kicking her legs while in custody at the police department.She was first arrested Saturday after a 5:08 p.m. disturbance at 131 Pleasantville Ave., where Timothy J. Teutenberg Jr., 31, reported Hainer was causing problems because he wouldn't let her take their children. Teutenberg told police he couldn't send the children with her while she was “high on prescription drugs.”Hainer admitted to police she took six Xanax pills. She was subsequently charged with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness or similar misconduct.2:23 a.m. Saturday — Todd Curtin, 37, of Butler was charged with theft of services after failing to pay a $52.28 bill at the Monroe Hotel bar. Police report Curtin told the bar staff he forgot his wallet and would return to pay the bill. Police later notified Curtin he must pay the bill immediately. Charges were filed Sunday after the bar reported the bill still was unpaid.
10:34 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Ebony Kinsel, 39, of Pittsburgh hit a deer on Route 8 in Butler Township.4:57 p.m. Friday — An unknown vehicle struck a car driven by Sharon Filbert, 62, of Franklin while it was stopped at a red light on Elm Street in Slippery Rock.
4:30 a.m. Oct. 18 — A pickup driven by Sally Tucker, 41, of Parker crossed Route 478 in Richland Township and ran over a ditch before stopping in a group of bushes. Tucker, who told police she looked away from the road, was cited for giving immediate notice of an accident.
