10:36 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by Jane M. Reynolds, 61, of Butler turned into another car on West Jefferson Street. Police said Reynolds was cited for making an improper turn, driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance. Allison M. Pizer, 24, of Indiana, Pa., was the other driver.Friday — Police charged two Butler men with stealing a 12-foot steel beam, chain-link fencing and copper wiring from a home on Etna Street on Oct. 16.The suspects, Brad S. Cookson Jr., 39, and Edwin D. Bell, 59, later took the property to Bob's Salvage on Route 38 in Oakland Township, according to court documents.Cookson and Bell are charged with theft and receiving stolen property.
4:15 a.m. Saturday — Shawn M. Jay, 37, of New Bethlehem is accused of assaulting a 35-year-old Rimersburg man after forcing his way into a home on Cherry Alley in Callensburg. Jay also damaged unspecified items in the 35-year-old woman's home. Police said Jay faces burglary and other charges.
11:15 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Cindy L. Shreve, 45, of Grove City struck a deer on Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township.12:45 a.m. Sunday — A vehicle driven by Johnny Blakeney, 43, of Covington, Ind., struck a deer on I-80 in Wolf Creek Township.10:11 a.m. Saturday — A 29-year-old New Jersey man faces drug charges following a traffic stop on I-80 in Wolf Creek Township. Police said they pulled over the man for an equipment violation and found him with a small amount of marijuana.Police did not identify the suspect and said the investigation continues.
