Associated Artists of Butler County Regional Faculty Art show will have a reception from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at The Art Center, 344 S. Main St. The show will run through Oct. 26 in Butler and then move to the Cranberry Township Municipal Center. The Cranberry faculty show will run Nov. 5 to 15. A reception will be held Nov. 6 in Cranberry. This show has no theme and is open to any teacher, active or retired. Sixty pieces will be chosen to go to Cranberry where cash awards will be presented at the reception. Gallery hours are noon to 6 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays. Maridon Museum, 322 N. McKean St., hosts “Treasure or Trinket?” antique appraisals from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Verbal appraisals by antiques dealers will cost $5 per item with a limit of 10 items. A build-a-horse program for children is planned for 1 to 3 p.m. Nov. 9. Activities will include a stick horse building and decorating session with Marian Gufstafson. Cost is $10 per child and $8 for each additional child and includes all materials and a snack.
