Butler Twp. Police4 p.m. Wednesday — Police said Craig Kovacic, 25, of Cranberry Township was accused of shoplifting three thermostats from the Trader Horn at the Greater Butler Mart. Police said when they searched the suspect they also found a syringe in his coat.Kovacic is charged with retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.4:30 p.m. Sept. 24 — Two teenage boys were charged after allegedly shooting two cars, one of which was a police cruiser, with Airsoft pistols. The 13 and 14 year olds allegedly shot the first car as it drove past the 300 block of South Eberhart Road. When a township police officer responded, the 13-year-old allegedly shot his car. The boys faced multiple charges related to using the weapons.
State Police, ButlerThursday — Police accused Christine Ann Sanderson, 40, of West Sunbury of shoplifting an electronic cigarette starter pack and menthol refill pack Oct. 4 from the Hill Top Mini Mart on Route 68 in Oakland Township. Sanderson is charged with retail theft.3:27 p.m. Oct. 6 — A hit-and-run accident occurred on Route 422 at its intersection with Bonniebrook Road.A stopped car driven by Eric J. McCoy, 31, of Templeton was struck by an another vehicle after its driver failed to stop at the traffic light.The driver of the other vehicle, described as a white male, drove away following the accident.The vehicle was described as a flat black car, possibly a Ford Fiesta.Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 724-284-8100.
Grove City PoliceWednesday — A Next brand bicycle was found in the 100 block of East Main Street. The owner can claim it at the police station, 337 E. Pine St.
