Ann Marie Naidus
Ann Marie Naidus, 90, of Butler entered into the arms of the Lord on Sunday.
She was born on Sept. 8, 1922, in Jelisavac, Croatia, the daughter of the late Adam and Pauline (Bauer) Duris of Ford City.
Ann was a 1941 graduate of Ford City High School. She worked for Millers Shoe Store in Butler for 10 years and for Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for 17 years.
Ann was a loving mother and grandmother. She was kind and generous. She enjoyed playing cards, baking, dancing, reading, writing letters and pinching perogies at St. Peter Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
As a 54-year resident of Timberly Heights, she enjoyed visits with longtime friends and neighbors, Mr. Bill Bittner and daughter, Beth, Mrs. Ruth Warheit, Mrs. Pat Collodi, Jim and Joyce Parsons, Don and Toby Stewart and Ted and Kristina Karenbauer. Ann also enjoyed time with her good friends, Mrs. Ann Lenzi of Butler and Helen Cote. Ann was a devout and faithful parishioner of St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church and loved to sing in the choir. She was a member of the VFW, the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Tanglewood Center, and 55 Alive at St. Michael Roman Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael E. Naidus; sisters, Mary Goliat of Independence, Ohio, Agnes Naidus of Clinton Township, Mich., and Jackie Barry of Ashville, N.C.
Surviving are a daughter, Janice Naidus of Butler; twin sons, Alan P. Naidus (Darla-Kirby) of Butler and Dennis M. Naidus (Rose) of Houston, Texas; granddaughters, Rachel L. Naidus of Houston, Texas, and Nicole M. Naidus of Denver, Colo.; two sisters, Sister Sophia of Campbellsport, Wisc., and Jenny Lutterbach of Richmond, Mich.; and three brothers, Joseph Duris (Betty) of San Diego, Calif., Andrew Duris (Jane) of North Huntingdon, Pa., and Edward Duris (Luetta) of Kittanning. A brother-in-law, Mr. Victor Scott (Rene) of Meridian; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Marge Berant (Don) of Clinton Township, Mich., and numerous nieces and nephews in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Michigan, Illinois and California also survive.
