SAXONBURG — The Saxonburg Festival of the Arts takes place Saturday and Sunday. It will include fine art, crafts, photography and a 5K community run/walk.
The theme for the fine art exhibits is the color orange. Awards totaling more than $3,000 will be presented. Also, there will be a chance to win a print by wildlife artist Mark Anderson. Stan Walchesky, watercolorist, will be the featured artist.
Parking is free and shuttle service is available from the Horne Avenue lot.

BRADY TWP — Jennings Environmental Education Center will be the site of “Woodland Treasure Hunt: Orienteering 101” from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 14.The program is for those age 12 and older.
