Saxonburg Area Artists Cooperative, 215 Main St. rear, Saxonburg, presents “Artists in Action,” sculpture, watercolor and glassblowing demonstrations, during the Saxonburg Festival of the Arts, Saturday and Sunday. Maridon Museum, 322 N. McKean St., is displaying “Entertainers,” a new exhibit, in the side gallery and a new temporary exhibit “Jade: Stone of Heaven” in the multipurpose room. Red Brick Gallery, 17 Main St., Foxburg, is exhibiting photography by Ray Rossi, 2-D and 3-D artworks by Kirk Poffenberger, and animal drawings by Mark Cole through Oct. 13. Filmmakers Galleries, 477 Melwood Ave., presents the work of five advanced photography students from Pittsburgh Filmmakers. The show, “Pigment and Silver” runs through Sept. 13. Admission is free. Hours are noon to 7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and noon to 6 p.m. Fridays.Carnegie Museum of Art, 4400 Forbes Ave., hosts The Playground Project, featuring playgrounds from around the world. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, with additional hours until 8 p.m. Thursdays, and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. Admission is $17.95 for adults, $14.95 for senior citizens, $11.95 for students and children ages 3 to 18, and free for children younger than 3. Admission after 4 p.m. Thursdays is discounted.
