PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh police have a man in custody for questioning after they say his girlfriend was shot in a hotel room near PNC Park.

Police were called to the Residence Inn on the city's North Shore early today after someone called 911 to report that the woman had shot herself.

Police determined that wasn't true when they arrived, though police aren't saying how they determined that or precisely who they believe shot the woman. Her boyfriend has not been charged, but remained in custody.

Police say she was shot in the abdomen, but was expected to survive.

BENSALEM — Police in southeastern Pennsylvania said a man committed three bank robberies in three different towns — and he did it by taxi.It all started around noon Thursday, when the suspect police identified as Luke Radick walked into a bank in Bensalem and handed the teller a demand note.Bensalem police Sgt. Andrew Aninsman says the suspect pulled the same thing in nearby Yardley about ten minutes later, then again a few miles away in Morrisville.Aninsman says the cab driver figured out what was happening after the third robbery and called police.
