Butler Police10:37 a.m. Thursday — Patrick Ian Finley, 30, of Leechburg was charged with forgery after allegedly stealing several checks from Daniel Hugh of Butler while helping him move. Hughes noticed the checks were missing after an electronic payment of $211.46 using the numbers of one was made to the Walmart in Butler Township.3:34 p.m. Wednesday — Cynthia Ann McCallister, 32, no known address, was charged with use/possession with intent to use, and possession of drug paraphernalia after police arrested her on an outstanding warrant at 502 W. Jefferson St. Police report finding a used syringe sticking out of her shirt.6:26 p.m. Sunday — Dilbert Fairweather, 30, of Butler was charged with simple assault and Kevin Fleeger, 38, also of Butler, was charged with harassment after police responded to a disturbance at Howard and Franklin streets.

State Police, Butler1:10 a.m. Thursday — An unknown vehicle sideswiped a car driven by Pamela McDevitt, 46, of Karns City on Buena Vista Road in Fairview Township before fleeing the scene.9:38 p.m. Wednesday — A pickup driven by Amanda Morris, 34, of Butler and a car driven by Christopher Stephenson, 21, of Butler collided on Route 68 in Summit Township. Both drivers and the pickup’s passengers received minor injuries.Monday — RSI Inc. of Slippery Rock reported the theft of $6,500 worth of construction items from an unlocked barn at its Forestville Road site. That occurred between 7 p.m. Aug. 16 and 8 p.m. Monday.

State Police, Clarion3 p.m. Monday — A vehicle driven by Cody Cotherman, 22, of Emlenton hit the rear of a vehicle driven by Lucille Smith, 56, of Clarion that was stopped in traffic on Route 68 in Monroe Township. The impact sent Smith’s vehicle into the rear of a third vehicle driven by Allyson Reed, 19, of Clarion. Cotherman, his passenger Bertha Clark, 85, and Smith received minor injuries.
