4:51 p.m. Tuesday — Tess A. Voelker, 28, of Butler was hurt when the car she was driving rear-ended a sport utility vehicle stopped for traffic on West Cunningham Street in front of Papa John's.Voelker, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Police said she was cited for careless driving. Bradley L. Nichter, 49, of Center Township was driving the SUV.2 p.m. Tuesday — Cars driven by Rena N. White, 38, of Butler and Derek P. Wilbert, 21, of Butler Township collided at Pillow and Ball Park streets.
Monday — Police reported that they have charged a 13-year-old boy with sending sexually-explicit images of himself to another child at the beginning of May. Police did not identify the boy, who is charged in juvenile court.Sunday — Alexis Antoinette Caporali, 21, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after she backed into a neighbor's garage in the 600 block of Miller Avenue.1:42 a.m. Saturday — Edward D. McFeaters, 50, of Clintonville was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop on an unspecified road. Police also cited McFeaters for careless driving and not using turn signals.Thursday — About 200 Vicodin painkillers were reported taken from inside an apartment in the 400 block of Hillcrest Avenue. The owner said the pills were last seen around mid-July.Thursday — An unknown thief stole the front mail slot off the front door of a home in the 300 block of Elm Street.Butler County Drug Task Force11:40 a.m. Tuesday — Charles J. Perkins, 19, of Butler was arrested on a felony drug charge after a probation officer reported finding him with suspected marijuana at his apartment in the 300 block of South Chestnut Street.According to court documents, Perkins was holding four individually-wrapped plastic baggie corners of marijuana. Additionally, officers said they found him with marijuana inside a cellophane wrap off a cigarette pack as well as a glass smoking pipe.Perkins was arraigned on charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail, following arraignment.
Tuesday — Police filed charges against three teenagers stemming from an underage drinking party they attended Aug. 4 at a home in the 700 block of Leesburg Station Road in Springfield Township. One of the suspects, Daniel Jesse Campbell, 18, of Stoneboro, is charged with driving under the influence.Additionally, Campbell along with Casey Greggs, 19, of Stoneboro and a 16-year-old girl were cited for underage drinking.5:53 p.m. Sunday — Corbin R. Crownover, 19, of Heborn, Ind., was arrested in Springfield Township after allegedly helping a girl run away from her home in the state of Indiana. The girl, who was unharmed, was later returned to her motherCrownover was arraigned on a felony charge of interfering with the custody of a child. He also is charged with corruption of minors and public drunkenness. He is being held in the Mercer County Jail on $25,000 bail.Sunday — Police reported they are investigating a case of suspected terroristic threats against a 34-year-old Grove City woman last week. The suspect, who police did not identify, allegedly threatened the woman about 1:20 a.m. Thursday at a home on Richardson Road in Pine Township, Mercer County.
Tuesday — A red, 2000 Ford Ranger pickup truck was reported stolen between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. from the Busy Beaver parking lot at the Hilltop Plaza shopping center in East Franklin Township. The truck has an extended cab, black window grates on the rear side windows, and a Maryland license plate.Anyone with information about the truck is asked to call police at 724-543-2011.
