10:59 a.m. Sunday — Bobbie D. Wolfe, 41, of Butler was arrested and charged with felony retail theft after allegedly shoplifting beef jerky, gummie bears, gummie worms and pop totaling $23.63 from the Rite Aid store on South Main Street. Wolfe, who has two prior convictions for shoplifting, was placed in the Butler County Prison following her arrest.8:09 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by Tyler Fusaro-Podobensky, 18, of Butler crossed the center line on a bend on Center Avenue near West Boyd Avenue and collided with another car. Police cited Fusaro-Podobensky for driving without a license. Sharon D. Hilliard, 51, of Penn Township was the other driver.2:51 a.m. Aug. 8 — Steven Allen Charles Vlassich, 25, of Butler was caught allegedly trying to break into vehicles in the area of East Penn and Oak streets. Police said he faces a charge of attempted theft from a vehicle.

2:31 a.m. Sunday — James C. McKissick II, 24, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Whitestown Road just south of Hansen Avenue in Butler Township.Thursday — A thief stole at least two road signs at Browns Mill and Leisle roads in Forward Township. The township-owned signs are blue with white lettering and indicate the names of the road at the intersection. The signs, valued at a combined $90, were taken between 3 p.m. Tuesday and 9:15 a.m. Thursday.

10:20 p.m. Friday — Frederick H. Check, 66, of Valencia was hurt when she lost control of her car and struck a tree along West Winfield Road just east of North Scenic Drive in North Buffalo Township. Check, who was wearing a seat belt, was flown by medical helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh. Her condition was not known this morning.6:45 p.m. Thursday — Jimmy Dean Walker II, 23, of East Franklin Township was arrested after allegedly breaking into a home on Freeport Road in North Buffalo Township.Police suspect Walker smashed out the man door window of Peter Kulick's house. Once inside, according to a police report, Walker drank alcohol and took a .22-caliber rifle. He used the rifle to shoot out the landscaping lights at the home.Walker fled but troopers later that night arrested him. He was arraigned on charges of burglary, trespass, reckless endangerment and disorderly, and placed in the Armstrong County Jail on $20,000 bail.2:38 p.m. Thursday — Shawn M. Anderson, 32, of Templeton swerved his pickup truck to avoid an oncoming car and struck an embankment on Ridge Road in Boggs Township. The car did not stop after the crash.Aug. 8 — A 19-year-old man, who police did not identify, is suspected of having sex with a 14-year-old girl at a home in South Buffalo Township. Police said the statutory sexual assault investigation continues.

12:41 a.m. Saturday — Robin C. Brian, 23, of Kennerdale, Venango County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Donaldson Road off Route 208 in Clinton Township, Venango County.

9:16 p.m. Aug. 8 — Sarah L. Beitel, 44, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after she stopped to help a motorist pulled off the road on Route 422 at Route 19 in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.Unlucky for Beitel, troopers also stopped to render aid to the unidentified stranded motorist and found Beitel, who appeared impaired. Police said they also found Beitel with suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia.Police said DUI and misdemeanor drug charges are pending.
