Robert Lewis 'Hap' Holliday

Robert Lewis “Hap” Holliday, 96, of the Masonic Village at Sewickley passed away Sunday.

Bob retired as a U.S. Army lieutenant colonel in 1970, and he was a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Pittsburgh and was a 32nd degree Mason.

He flew his B-26 Bomber “Little Gal” to England in 1944 and participated in 65 missions. He started the R.L. Holliday Co. in 1952 and never retired from the company.

He was the beloved husband of the late Freda V. Holliday; loving father of Richard L. (June) Holliday, JoAnne (James) Beckwith and the late Judith Holliday; and brother of the late Donald Holliday; grandfather of Leslie (Chris) Connors, Ryan L. (Vanessa) Holliday, Matthew R. Beckwith and Sean M. Beckwith; and great-grandfather of Emily and Patrick Connors.

HOLLIDAY — A memorial service for Robert Lewis “Hap” Holliday, who passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013, will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Aug. 9, 2013, in the assembly room at the Masonic Village, 1000 Masonic Drive, Sewickley, PA 15143.
