12:47 a.m. Monday — Blase A. Fusco, 50, of Butler was arrested after allegedly threatening two Butler men with a knife and stun gun.Police were initially called for a reported fight at North Main and West North streets and found Fusco chasing 22-year-old Jeremy J. Rivera and 20-year-old Zachary S. Lowe. Officers stopped the suspect, who had to be handcuffed, according to a police report.A search found Fusco with three knives and a stun gun.Rivera and Lowe told police that they were in a car when the defendant approached them and began screaming at them. He allegedly pulled out a folding knife and pointed it at them.“Fusco then pulled out a stun gun and began activating it while pointing it at the victims,” the police report said.Fusco is charged with simple assault, possession of offensive weapons and disorderly conduct.3:15 a.m. Saturday — Antoine K. Pollard, 23, no known address, was arrested after allegedly trying to break into an apartment at Greenview Gardens with a dinner knife. Pollard had borrowed the knife from a man at another apartment.The suspect claimed he knew someone at the complex who had accidentally locked herself out, according to a police report. He asked for the knife so he could help her get into the apartment.Pollard was arraigned on charges of trespass, attempted trespass and possession of an instrument of crime. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail, following arraignment.

Monday — Police charged Jacqueline Spiece, 49, of Butler with drunken driving stemming from a traffic stop about 2:40 a.m. July 19 at Route 68 and South Duffy Road. In addition to driving under the influence, Spiece is charged with making an improper right turn.8:21 p.m. Friday — Thomas J. Pektas, 28, of Butler was arrested on a felony count of retail theft after he was caught allegedly shoplifting $106 in merchandise at the Trader Horn store in the Greater Butler Mart.Pektas, who has at least two prior convictions for shoplifting, was arraigned and placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail.

12:24 p.m. Thursday — Victoria A. Houghtaling, 22, of Grove City was hurt when she lost control of her car and struck a utility pole along East Main Street near Summit Street.Houghtaling was taken to Grove City Medical Center with unspecified injuries. Police said their investigation continues.

Sunday — Police reported that a wife and husband were both arrested for suspected drunken driving last month after she got in a crash and he drove to the hospital where she was taken after the wreck near the couple's home in Donegal Township.Jacqueline Sabo, 36, crashed about 11:35 p.m. July 30 on Medical Center Road. She was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and taken to Butler Memorial Hospital. Police that same night called Matthew Sabo, 39, advising him that his wife would be released if she got a safe ride home.When Matthew Sabo arrived at the hospital about 1:10 a.m. July 31, according to a police report, he showed signs of intoxication and was arrested for DUI.Police noted that charges are pending results of blood tests administered at the hospital.

9:40 p.m. Saturday — One person was hurt when a car driven by Keith O. Hawk, 65, of Templeton struck a motorcycle at Route 68 and Perkins Road in Monroe Township. Timothy D. Landfried, 51, of Clarion, who was driving the motorcycle without a helmet, suffered minor injuries.Landfried was cited in the accident for failing to obey traffic signals.6 a.m. Saturday — Larry H. Hull, 60, of Rimersburg was hurt when the motorcycle he was driving hit a deer on Route 68 in Brady Township, Clarion County. Police said Hull, who was wearing a helmet improperly, was taken to Clarion Hospital with moderate injuries.1:15 p.m. Friday — Gale P. Bellesfield, 24, of Rimersburg lost control of her sport utility vehicle on rain-soaked Lawsonham Road south of Solida Road in Madison Township, and struck a tree.
