Mary H. Schiebel
Mary H. Schiebel, 95, of Butler died Wednesday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Jan. 22, 1918, in Cabot. She was the daughter of the late Stephen M. and Anna Marie “Annie” Wagner Cypher.
She was the wife of the late Edward L. Schiebel, who passed away Dec. 6, 1972.
She was a member of the St. Mary The Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman. She was a homemaker and well known for her baking. She was a baker and cook for the St. Fidelis Seminary for 24 years. She also enjoyed mowing her lawn.
Surviving are three sons, Garry E. (Jean) Schiebel of Belleview, Neb., Dale S. (Hope) Schiebel of Butler and Zane F. (Lisa) Schiebel of Butler; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Kay (Larry) Neff of Butler; one daughter-in-law, Tracey Schiebel of Butler; and 15 grandchildren, Dawne Zagurski, Jason Schiebel, Dale Schiebel, Ivan Schiebel, Jared Neff, Michelle Zandarski, Brian Neff, Edward Schiebel, Paul Jenkins, Sarah Shrum, Kaitlin Thompson, Seth Thompson, Brittney Schiebel, Brenden Schiebel and Brianna Schiebel. Also surviving are 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, four brothers and three sisters.
Schiebel — Friends of Mary H. Schiebel, who died Wednesday, July 10, 2013, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Mary The Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman with the Rev. Ward Stakem officiating.
