Butler PoliceThursday — An unknown vandal or vandals overnight spray painted at least three cars in the 300 block of both First and Peach streets. Damage to each car was estimated at $500.Thursday — Someone threw a glass jar through a window at a home in the 300 block of Kaufman Drive. The vandalism happened between July 26 and Thursday. Damage was estimated at $100.

State Police, Butler1:40 p.m. Monday — Leila Ann Dunn, 26, of Chicora was arrested after an altercation with 31-year-old Matthew Hertzig at a home on Route 38 in Concord Township. Dunn was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $2,000 bail.Friday — Police charged Christopher S. Walker, 22, of Prospect with stealing a Honda pressure washer from Katz Klassics on North Franklin Street in Prospect between May 1 and July 30.Walker, who was working at the store at the time, in May asked owner William Katz Jr. if he could borrow the washer, valued at $2,300, to clean his mother’s house, police said. Katz apparently consented.But, according to court documents, Walker never returned the machine and instead traded it for heroin or OxyContin.Katz notified police July 26. Three days later, troopers interviewed Walker, who confessed, police said.Walker, who is charged with felony counts of theft by deception and receiving stolen property, is free on $5,000 bail.

State Police, Clarion12:15 a.m. Tuesday — Kimberly Harned, 53, of Emlenton was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Interstate 80 at exit 45 in Richland Township.

State Police, Kittanning7:15 p.m. Tuesday — a 16-year-old Worthington boy allegedly attacked an 11-year-old Worthington boy during an argument inside a vehicle traveling in North Buffalo Township. After the driver, who police did not identify, pulled onto the side of Route 28, the suspect punched the other boy in the face. The 11-year-old suffered a swollen eye.Police charged the older boy in juvenile court with simple assault and harassment.1:45 p.m. Tuesday — An unknown thief stole $100 from a Templeton woman’s car parked in the 100 block of Baum Boulevard in Boggs Township.
