Howard R. Kelley
Howard R. Kelley, 69, of Saxonburg passed away Thursday at the Good Samaritan Hospice unit at Concordia in Cabot.
Born July 20, 1943, in Natrona Heights, he was the son of Clifford P. Kelley and Bernice McLaughlin Kelley.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1963.
Howard worked as a school van driver for the Bauman Bus Co., Durham School Services and W.L. Roenigk. He was a life member of the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company where he had served as a fire policeman for 30 years and helped at the Miss Saxonburg pageants. He enjoyed NASCAR and movies. He especially enjoyed spending time with his friends and the Chilcott family. Through his life, he enjoyed the company of his nine cats.
Surviving are his wife, Marlene (Thomas) Kelley, who he married Nov. 29, 1980; one daughter, Tracy (Shawn) McKissick of Butler; and three nieces, Crystal Chilcott, Carissa Chilcott and Arondia Price.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Patricia Malis.
KELLEY — Friends of Howard R. Kelley, who passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Sue Mayer officiating.
