David L. Kirker
David L. Kirker, 78, of Zelienople went to be with the Lord Wednesday at the Autumn Grove Nursing Home in Harrisville with his family by his side.
Born Nov. 6, 1934, in Crider's Corner, now Cranberry Township, he was the son of the late Elmer and Martha (Boyer) Kirker.
David proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Reserve for 6½ years.
He worked for the Halstead Mitchell Co. in Zelienople for 35 years as well as various truck driving companies.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joanne (Lutz) Kirker; his daughter, Jody Spisak and her husband, Shenan, of Butler; his grandson, Michael Kirker of Zelienople; his sister, Edna Ruth Kriess of Butler, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Floyd Kirker, and his sister, Margaret Young.
KIRKER — The family of David L. Kirker, who passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A funeral ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Peter J. Everett officiating.
