CENTER TWP — The restaurant formerly known as the Dynasty Buffet in the Clearview Mall will reopen under a new name with a different style.

Now called the Hibachi Buffet, it is tentatively set to open Aug. 9.

The new name better fits the changes made to the restaurant in the past four months of renovations, according to Joe Kai, the restaurant’s owner and chef.

“We will have a new menu that offers Japanese, Chinese and American food,” Kai said. “We also now have a hibachi grill.”

Hibachi grills are Japanese-style grills commonly used in America to cook a variety of Asian dishes.

The new menu isn’t the only change. Kai has invested several thousand dollars in renovating the interior of the restaurant and redoing its kitchen.

Kai bought the restaurant nine years ago. He has been in the restaurant business for 25 years.

He also owns another restaurant in Ohio, though he and his family work at their Clearview Mall location.

Kai said to celebrate the re-opening everything on the menu will be 25 percent off.

“I hope everyone comes in to see the new style and service,” he said.
