Butler's Herald goes 4-for-4, paces BlueSox to victory
LORAIN, Ohio — Butler graduate Cody Herald went 4-for-4 and scored three runs to lead a 17-hit attack that lead the Butler BlueSox to a 9-6 win over Lorain County Friday night.
Herald, in only his third game back after missing a month because of a seven fractures in his face, raised his average to .309.
Matt Peters extended his hitting streak to 18 games with a pair of hits for the BlueSox. The last time Peters went hitless was June 30.
Peters smacked his eighth triple of the season and also stole a base.
GJ Senchak picked up the win for Butler (26-20), giving up two runs in 6 1-3 innings of work.
Tyler Ferguson picked up the save, striking out one in 2-3 of an inning.
The two teams combined for eight errors.
Richmond 6, Slippery Rock 5 — The Sliders (20-26) lost in extra innings at Jack Critchfield Park Friday night. No other details were available.
